Also part of this wonderful event is an “OPEN HOUSE” made for the Principals and Guidance Counselors of different high schools around the Metro.  The open house served as a medium to bring closer the school officials and introduce the wide array of benefits that DLS-STI College could give for their students.  Held at CASA 1951 (HRM Training Grounds) our representatives enjoyed a sumptuous dinner before being presented with different tokens and presentations from the college to prove that DLS-STI is indeed one of the gateways to their students’ success.

With the success of these events, DLS-STI College again opened its doors; this time to the high school students.  To further enhance their skills, DLS-STI offered free training seminars.

DLS-STI College Bags 5th Straight Title in the 9th Inter-STI Basketball Tournament

“They have the size and height but we have the HEART! Heart of a Champion”

These few words inspired us to capture the coveted championship trophy once again.

At the start of the basketball tournament, many have doubted the DLS-STI College Basketball Varsity Team.  No Coach Dacula, No Weekly Practice, No Long Preparation, and Losing it’s first 2 games was the worst-ever start from this championship caliber team.  But this shortcomings also served as their wake-up call and from then on as they say, “the rest is history”.   Winning their last 5 games in the elimination round, 1 semifinals round, 1 quarterfinals round, before facing the undefeated STI College Balagtas for the championship trophy.

This was the road the team had to travel before bagging their 5th straight title in the 9th Inter-STI Basketball Tournament. With the help of the Administration, Faculty and Staff, Head Coach Raymond Leyga, MVP – Archie Olmedo, Players, and Supporters.
